What’s up everybody and welcome back to another episode of meal prep my name is Sonya by the way in case you didn’t know today we are gonna make a cajun spicy shrimp stew soup whatever you want to call it it’s going to be delicious are you ready to do this let’s get started alright so today’s recipe is gonna.

Be pretty simple I have my bell peppers onion and celery anyone below tell me what those three vegetables are called in.
Cajun or Creole cooking it’s called something leave your guesses below down.

Let me know what this celery onion and bell pepper constitutes in Cajun and Creole cooking alright if you didn’t know you know when to in a video and I’ll tell you let’s go ahead and get these vegetables chopped up along with some garlic and sauteed on stove over.

There for about two to three minutes and a little bit of olive oil so I’m done chopping up all those vegetables I used about seven ounces of celery about 12 ounces of red onion in here about 6 ounces of.

Red bell pepper and about 8 ounces.

Of green bell pepper and we have 3 cloves of garlic that I went ahead and chopped up we’re gonna go ahead saute these on the stove for about 2 to 3 minutes of about 2 tablespoons of olive oil so we’re gonna pick everything in the same pan it’s.

Gonna be great just take things out put them back in alright so the great thing about this is we’re going to put everything in the same pan again I want to cook these for about 2 to 3 minutes I’m gonna go ahead and.

Add the garlic and then go ahead and add the rest of my spices as well this will cook up I’ll take this off and then we’ll start on what we called the.
Room next we’re gonna add 1 teaspoon of thyme yes th yme.

Time so we have plenty of time to make this I add a half a teaspoon of garlic yes I’m adding more garlic in addition to the 3 cloves of garlic that.
We’re adding later believe me you need.

It 1 teaspoon of black pepper 2 teaspoons of basil and now the ahead fresh basil or fresh thyme you could use that I will.

Use about 1/3 to 1/4 of a cup chopped 2 teaspoons of this Creole seasoning now it is a little bit spicy so you may not want to add any.

Of the other spices going to add later as far as like the red pepper or you may want to just cut back and maybe add one and a half teaspoons 1/2 teaspoon of Himalayan pink salt the Creole seasoning has salt in it so we don’t.

Need to add you know the full teaspoon like to match the black pepper and then lastly let’s go ahead and add some.

Crushed red pepper if you don’t like it too spicy then you know cut the amount in half or you can omit it but this is spicy Cajun soup / – so I have a half a teaspoon all right so everything’s in there go ahead.

And stir that up again we’re gonna let that cook for about two to.

Three more minutes you don’t want to overcook it because it’s going to go in the stew so they’re gonna continue to cook so you want some kind.

Of texture to your peppers and onions but again it’s a soup of students not gonna have really firm but just don’t overcook it all right I’m gonna go ahead and add the garlic now all right so the garlic’s in there you can see the garlic looking pretty darn good all.
